Nagpur News: The team of State Manufacturing Tax (B) Department conducted raids at illegal liquor shops and seized illegal liquor worth Rs 1.44 lakh. The team arrested 5 persons and seized five vehicles along with 380 litre Hatbhatti liquor, 96 bottles of country made liquor, 24 bottles of English liquor imported from different States.
The accused are identified as Suresh Gopalrao Gokhle, Rahul Ashok Gedam, Prateek Manoj Patil, Manoj Ramesh Pate, and Roshan Vitthalrao Sontakke. The raid was conducted under Mumbai Act for Liquor 1949. Police Inspector Girish Gadre from Ambazari Police Station has been conducting raids on illegal liquor shops for past 10 days under the guidance of Divisional Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Pawar and Superintendent Mohan Warde.
